Hi! I’m Travis Black.
I’m a seeker and lifelong student of mystery based in Brazil.
My primary goal as a provider is to alleviate suffering—internally and externally—through practical, innovative and evidence-based approaches. My academic training has focused heavily on social psychology, which informs how I understand influence, power, community dynamics and the conditions that shape behavior.
Over the past 34 years, my study in metaphysics and spirituality has included both deep engagement with and initiation into a range of Western esoteric schools and Eastern spiritual lineages.
My research focuses on developing practical, real-world mental health interventions for people affected by spiritual abuse and cult dynamics. It’s grounded in the understanding that neither psychology nor spirituality alone can be relied upon for lasting change, but that an informed combination of the two offers the most effective path forward.
As a cult survivor, I'm dedicated to demystifying this intersection of spirituality and psychology. I work to prevent the exploitation of vulnerable individuals within this ambiguous space.
My goal is to integrate formally trained mental health care with so-called 'alternative' healing modalities and provide grounded services to the community at the highest level—without relying on unverifiable claims.
